Fall Cowboy Family Portraits - Nicole Wade Photography - Red Deer Western Photographer

LOVED this family. It is not every day that the grandpa is the best "poser" of the session! "Hawkeye" was FANTASTIC! I may even bring him on as my helper ;) He had tones of great ideas and he knows his angels.....

We used one of my favorite locations and the light was AMAZING that afternoon. I love light. I love how it impacts the images and adds flair. I love celebrating family. I love giving my clients wonderful memories.

Grandparents are so dear to us. That is certainly the case for this family. There is a special bond between them. It is so great to have images to remember. Remember the fun, moments and love.

Brody and Braxton Nicole-Wade-Photography Sylvan lake Big Moo

Kim, Brodday and Braxton's mom and I had the boy's soot planned for a lovley day in September. I had been working in my studio on soem images and grabbed my camera gear and popped into my truck. All of you who have been to my studio, know that it is in the loft of our hip roof barn {love}. My son Westen had been roping his roping steer "dummy" the night before. I noticed it as I got into my truck. Then the phone rang {mistake} I answered it just as I went to pull out. Well... I ran right over the silly roping dummy with my ford.

It was wedged under my truck..... it was wedged under there {so embarassing} I had to phone kim and CANCLE  our shoot! So mortifying. My husband had to completly disassemble the plastic and metal roping dummy when he got home to remove it from the underside of my truck!

Well the day came for the boys photos..... and it was defiantly not a great day. I asked kim what she thought about using the Big Moo in sylvan Lake for the shoot!? She agreed and thought that would be cool. I called the owners and they kindly agreed to us shooting the images there!

I love how they turned out :) I can't wait to work on some more of these babies.... we even had ice cream {love}!

Tyler and Ashley - Engagement-Portraits Nicole-Wade-Photography

Well last Monday played out to be the perfect day to shoot some engagement images for Tyler and Ashley! Tyler and I went to college together and he has found the perfect gal to marry. I was so thrilled when Tyler sent me a message saying that he had popped the question to this amazing gal {she said yes}  AND  they wanted me to shoot their images!

Of course I said YES!

Tyler and I were best buds in college and we sometimes went out to my parents outfitting loge {panther river adventures}. We went riding, helped my dad cut copious amounts of firewood for the wood boiler or had fun with groups of friends.

When Ashley emailed and said that was the location that they had decided on I was even more thrilled! The scenery is absolutely stunning...... besides the wind that occasionally decides to blow out there!

They brought their horses and we headed up to the Bighorn falls where we did most of the shoot. They were complete naturals and it helped as the noise from the 2 waterfalls made common chitchat difficult!

I wish you two years of love, and laughs.
